STRENGTH TRAINING FOR WOMEN

strength training for women

Head Coach – Lisa Weis – weighted pistol squats

We have been established to provide a better link between women’s health and fitness needs of all women from ages of 18 to 80 with issues in strength, osteoporosis-related diseases affecting bone mass, or postural type problems.

This is a new way of looking at strength training service focused on providing postural and progressive weight bearing exercise programs for women who wish to improve their mobility, metabolism, bone mass or strength.  The studio is located within 12 minutes from the Brisbane City Centre or 5 minutes from the Gateway (south).

We are a unique service where the studio has no machines, no mirrors and no blokes. We believe the best way to grow movement and strength is to exercise on two feet in a safe and friendly environment. Every woman who comes through our doors is also issued a good dose of how to use a barbell correctly as this is one of our secrets to your success.

You are never left alone during your time at our Club. You are coached by women who are accredited through the Australian Weightlifting Federation and other qualifications (post-graduate or under-graduate) who understand the importance of core stability and joint mobility.
There are never more then 10 women (including the coaches) in our 110 sqm of open-plan space.

We have Olympic standard resistance equipment, agility, and mobility facilities. Everything you’ll ever need to become the most agile, flexible and functional woman you can become.

Put simply, there’s nothing quite like it.

Ladies, it is time for a little bit less wish-bone and a bit more back-bone.
